Poems by Micheal Teal

The simple life

Simplicity
Is a most beautiful thing
Free
And flowing
Unencumbered
By the intricasies
Mankind
Has wrought
A
Gift of nature
Pure
Uncensored
Beauty
As beauty was meant
Simplicity
Is genius
Genius
Is beauty
Beauty
Is nature
Nature
Is life
Oh how i long for the simple life

Serenity

As
The leaves
Turn
Golden
And
My hair
Turns
Grey
I
Realize
The
Seasons of my life
Must
Be allowed
To
Run their cycle
Acceptance
Brings with it serenity

this is a poem about prejudice
Dedicated to those brave enough to
Follow their own path in the face of opposition

The way it is

Once while out a walking
In the neighborhood
I spied a little girl
Made of balsa wood
The wind had swept her away
An unsuspecting load
Then left her lying face down
In the middle of the road
There were holes in her cheeks
Where the tears
Had broken through
And her hands
Reached out for mercy
As if she always knew
That this is a world
Where it doesn’t matter if you're good
Cause you'll always go to hell
When you're made of balsa wood

A Child of the Earth

A child of the earth
With the wisdom of the ages
Daughters of the moon
Magicians ,seers and sages
Nature and nurture
In a reality not yet fulfilled
Peace ,love and happiness
In a dream that cannot be killed
The flower children
Will always bloom
